Created a store locator for Potbelly Sandwich Works, a growing, privately-held sandwich joint based here in Chicago. Here’s how we did it:
- Mapping based on the Google Maps API
- Address geocoding using the Yahoo! API— finds intersections, smart error messages, smooth user experience
- Custom CSS to integrate the map into client’s existing website
- Since the most important thing users want is the store closest to them, we deliver "Your Closest Store" at top next to the map with the next six closest stores down below. A simple innovation that makes a difference when looking for lunch at 11:45
- Clicking any result re-focuses map to easily see cross streets and see directions
